Governor of Kogi state, Captain Idris Wada who was injured in an auto crash last week is now recuperating in his private residence in Abuja.

The governor was on Tuesday, discharged from the Cedarcrest hospital, Abuja where he has been receiving treatment for a fractured thigh bone.

The governor’s media adviser, Mr Jacob Edi confirmed to Channels Television that the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Felix Ogedegbe certified the governor fit to be discharged,to allow him recuperate fully at home.

Dr. Ogedegbe had earlier in the week stated that the governor will be out of the hospital in a matter of days after successfully undergoing a surgery.

Mr Edi added that the governor is now recuperating in his private residence in Abuja.

On Friday, December 28, 2012, Captain Wada was involved in a car crash that claimed the life of his Aide-De-Camp (ADC) and left his driver injured.

The injured governor had reportedly refused to be flown out of the country to treat his fractured limb claiming his strong fate in the nation’s medical practitioners.

President Goodluck Jonathan had on Monday visited the recuperating governor , at the hospital where he was receiving treatment for the injuries he sustained in an auto crash.
