A legal practitioner, Ladipo Johnson has expressed optimism over the ability of the President Goodluck Jonathan – led administration to lead move Nigeria forward using the 2013 budget as a tool.

Speaking as a guest on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, Mr Johnson said successive government have always had good programmes and that the problem was how to impact on the lives of Nigerians.

“I believe that the budget that we’re looking at in 2013 may just take us there if properly implemented,” he said.

Mr Johnson said the much desired development may not come as quickly as people hoped. “These things take a while because the system of government we run dictates that you have a Senate, you have a House of Reps and the rule of law must be obeyed,” he said.
